Swimming Lessons at Sevenoaks Leisure Centre

Adult & Junior Swim Lessons

Sevenoaks Leisure Centre runs a full programme of swimming classes designed for everyone from babies through to adults. Taught by our experienced and qualified instructors, our team of staff will be pleased to help you select the class or course most suitable for you or a member of your family.

Our Swimming Academy is a programme based on the nationally recognised STA scheme, which includes a wide range of water confidence and stroke improvement activities for children and adults.

WHAT MAKES OUR SWIM ACADEMY SPECIAL?

Firstly, our swim teachers are professionally trained. Secondly, we follow the STA’s International Learn to Swim Programme – one of the most successful suites of learn to swim and aquatic courses in the world. Above all, we make learning to swim FUN, PROGRESSIVE, INCLUSIVE, SAFE and AFFORDABLE.

THIS MEANS EVERYBODY IS:

  • Encouraged to enjoy themselves

  • Motivated to improve - but within their own capabilities

  • Taught step by step with ‘rewards’ at every level

  • Supervised within a safe environment

  • Given the opportunity to develop all four swimming strokes.

THAT’S NOT ALL!
Yes there’s even more for those who enrol into our Swim Academy:

  • Your very own SUCCESS TRACKER, a record booklet to record your progress through the levels

  • Badges and certificates at the end of each level

  • 1-to-1 lessons available
  • Adult lessons available
  • Join in with other fun courses like snorkelling, lifesaving and synchronised swimming.
