Affordable activities for young people
Reconnect is a programme run by Kent County Council to help children and young people to reconnect, get active and have fun following the pandemic. It offers fantastic opportunities to get out and enjoy leisure activities at reduced rates and discover how rewarding a healthy, active lifestyle can be!
Sencio Community Leisure have put together an extensive programme of dryside sport, gym activities and swim sessions from as little as £1.00 per person.
Everyone within the ages defined is eligible for Reconnect prices, but if you fall within KCC’s targeted categories you are ALSO eligible for Reconnect 2 which offers even lower prices (scroll down to learn more).

Reconnect 2 Membership
- FREE membership card
- Available for 3 - 18 year olds in the following categories:
- Registered disabled
- SEND
- Children in care
- Children who recieve free school meals
- Universal credit and income support households
- Those with a KCC E-voucher
- Provides access to “Reconnect 2” prices in the programme listed above
Children under 16 must have a parent or guardian with them to take out either membership.
All-in-One membership
In addition to sport and swim activities, we are also offering an All-in-One membership under the Reconnect programme.
All-in-One memberships are available to all 14-21 year olds at £60 for 3 months until 31 August 2022.
For 14-21 year olds who fall within the Reconnect 2 catgory, All-in-One memberships are free.
All-in-One includes unlimited swim, gym, and off-peak sport. An induction fee of £5 may apply.
Swimming Lessons
Free swim lessons for primary school students leaving for secondary school in September 2022 unable to swim 25 metres
Children due to start secondary school in September who are unable to swim 25 metres will be referred directly from the school.
Reconnect swim lessons will be specifically for this target group and not part of our normal Learn to Swim programme. The course of lessons runs 12 weeks, ensuring that local children are able to swim confidently and safely before beginning secondary school.
If you feel that your child qualifies for these lessons, please contact your school as we are only accepting referrals.
